I know I am going to get a lot of flack for this article since a lot of interent
marketers use Clickbank, but there is an awful lot of crap be being sold with
Clickbank .
Clickbank is a fine company. I have used Clickbank to sell some of my own
ebooks, but Clickbank has become the equivalent of an online infomercial.
Fortunately Clickbank has a lenient refund policy and there are a lot of quality
ebooks and products on Clickbank, but in the past two years there has been
a huge surge in get rich quick garbage.
The most prevalent 'get rich quick' programs are:
Paid Surveys/Mystery Shopping
Affiliate Marketing with Adwords or Affiliate Marketing in general
The paid survey and mystery shopping sites are pure scams. I don't
recommend them at all. Clickbank shouldn't even allow them.
While most of the affiliate marketing ebooks aren't necessarily scams (there
are many people who make a full time living with affiliate marketing) these
books spread the false notion that it is easy to make money with affiliate
marketing and that you can earn a big fat commission paycheck with little
work or experience.
This couldn't be further from the truth. The fast majority of affiliates fail to
earn a substantial income. And a large majority don't even break even.
Affiliate is marketing is more difficult than most of these gurus make it seem!
Most of these affiliate ebooks sales pages us a 'hype type' headline that
goes like:
"Learn how a $45,000 a month in your pajamas as an affiliate!
Start making huge money overnight with my proven system..."
These headlines will often be followed with pictures of money and glowing
testimonials from people who supposedly 'got rich quick'.
It is downright misleading and deceptive.
Here is my advice. After you buy a Clickbank product and try it out for a
month or so, don't hesitate to request a refund if you find that your results
weren't as the sales page had promised. Did earn $10,000 in your first
month as 'Guaranteed' by the sales letter? If not, simply get a refund. I don't
care it is jumping the gun or if the ebook was really insightful. It will teach
these marketers to make promises and guarantees that are within reason.
