| Photography/Scanning Jobs You see an ad for work at home Photographers or Document Scanners. The job duties consist of taking pictures and then sending the roll of undeveloped film into the employer for payment. With regards to Document Scanners, you will scan images or pictures and then send them to the employer via email attachment. You are excited because the advertiser does not require experience and the pay is $5.00 per image or photo! Sounds great right? Wrong…. How it Works There are two versions of this scam. The first requires you to buy overpriced cameras or scanners in order to be "compatible" with the employers system. Unfortunately, even after you buy the necessary equipment, all of your photos or scans will be rejected because they are considered by the employer to be unacceptable or unusable. There are also scams that ask you to pay a start-fee for your materials and training. However, once again, it is very unlikely that you will ever receive payment for any of your photographs or scanned images. Reality Check Many times, the cons behind these operations are individuals who are making a fortune in commissions for the products that they are tricking you in to buying. Other times, they are just making a buck or two off of the start-up fees and then skipping town before they are caught. In either case, you've been hoodwinked and have no way of obtaining a refund. Always remember reputable companies don't require you to pay for your own equipment or send a registration fee. Related Topics: Work at Home Listings, Assembly Work, Website Design Jobs |
